Losing a pet, especially a dog, is one of the hardest trials you could go through. We've lost two of our dogs over the past few months. The pain is immeasurable. With humans, you can rationalise their passing because everyone, even the departed, understand the circumstances that led up to it. Pets can't understand that, so the tragedy is far worse. You don't heal from that, you just live with the pain.
